I’m thrilled to announce that Willow Storm and the Lightning Bolts has been selected as part of Park Square Theatre’s Lab Series!
This opportunity marks an exciting step forward in the development of the show. The Lab Series creates space for new theatrical works to be explored in front of an audience, and I’m honored to share this electrifying 1980s glam-rock musical in such a supportive and vibrant artistic community.
Willow Storm and the Lightning Bolts is a coming-of-age story about identity, gender expression, friendship, and the courage to live authentically. Following Aaron’s discovery of his inner rock goddess, Willow Storm, the musical blends glam rock, synth-pop, and soulful ballads to celebrate self-expression and transformation. Seeing this work move from page to rehearsal room — and now into public performance — feels incredibly meaningful.
